Dave is a brand platform thinker and team player, who understands the power of collaboration across disciplines to create big ideas and integrated campaigns in virtually every media and social platform. His creativity has helped solve business problems for a wide range of clients, from beer, bacon, and NASCAR to insurance, running shoes, automotive, and information technology. He’s also led new business wins on Brooks Running, Jim Beam, Sprite, Miller Lite, Workday, Abbott Labs, and Pfizer.
At Ogilvy, he led the CDW and Workday accounts along with Tyson brands Wright Brand Bacon and Ball Park Franks, a mix of CPG and B2B that thrilled acronym lovers everywhere. His Bacon Beats music activation for Wright Brand exceeded TikTok benchmarks by 21% and was named an Effie Finalist in Youth Marketing.
At Leo Burnett, he was creative lead on high-profile Coca-Cola projects Small World Machines and Arctic Home, the campaign that turned the iconic Coke can white to support World Wildlife Fund’s efforts to protect polar bear habitat. At the time, it was the largest integrated marketing effort in Coca-Cola history. Dave also wrote Zack, the 12-minute online film and social media experience for P&G/Tampax that was inducted into the Clio Hall of Fame and scored One Show gold.
Dave believes that creativity can make the world a better place and has developed purpose-driven campaigns for Coca-Cola, P&G, McDonalds, Fifth Third Bank and Allstate. Over the course of his career, he’s worked with multiple non-profits such as Equal Marriage Illinois, Stand Up 2 Cancer, Earthworks, Girl Scouts of America, the Alliance for Peacebuilding and Resolve, an NGO that develops sustainable solutions to critical social and environmental challenges. He also helped create the brand identity and film for Live Earth: Concert for a Climate in Crisis, a project spearheaded by Al Gore. He’s proud to have served three two-year terms on the Alliance for Peacebuilding board of directors and also served on the board of Friends of the Chicago River.
Dave has a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, attended the School of Visual Arts and graduated from Portfolio Center in Atlanta. His first job in advertising was freelancing at Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam, creating ads for the weird, wonderful sport of European team handball.
